UK laser cutting equipment supplier grows 94%
Laser cutting and metal fabrication equipment supplier MBA Engineering (Wetherby, Yorkshire, England) has experienced a rapid increase in growth over the past year, following an influx of machine sales. The fiber laser specialist reported a turnover of £1.4 million (over $1.8 million) for 2017/2018—an increase of 94% that almost doubled its turnover in the last 12 months alone.
This growth is partly because of the company's exclusive partnership with fiber laser manufacturer Kimla (Czestochowa, Poland). With more manufacturers recognizing Kimla's technology, MBA Engineering's client base has grown considerably.
MBA Engineering recently replaced two CO2 machines with one Kimla fiber laser for compressor solutions supplier Cook Compression (Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, England)—an investment which saw the company's capacity increase by 30%. Following this, MBA Engineering supplied an additional Kimla machine to French server manufacturer OVH after the company experienced unprecedented results with its original Kimla machine.
