Laser welding system from Cyan Tec minimizes thermal stress

A 16 kW laser system from Cyan Tec (Loughborough, England) provides welding joints from ~15 mm to several meters, for welding applications in the nuclear, marine, and aerospace industries. It minimizes heat distortion and thermal stress to weld stainless steel, aluminum, titanium and alloy products. Travel speeds are over 10 m/min., with a six-axis gantry and two-axis manipulator table, accommodating 15 tons.
