Fiber laser maker SPI Lasers opens new U.S. service center

Fiber laser designer and manufacturer SPI Lasers (Southampton, England), whose lasers have utility in cutting, welding, micromachining, and marking, has opened a new service center in Wauconda, IL, to serve customers in North and South America. The new center complements its existing Sales and Applications facility in Santa Clara, CA, and provides customers with a central location for service and support of the company's products.

The center is equipped with the tools, equipment, and facilities needed to service the full range of the company's products, including a splicing capability to enable replacement of laser modules and beam delivery cables. The facility also offers a full electronic test diagnostic and recalibration capability, as well as local spares holding.
