Rofin-Sinar UK is celebrating its 20th year as a manufacturer of sealed CO2 laser sources.

Rofin-Sinar UK (Hull, England) is celebrating its 20th year as a manufacturer of sealed carbon-dioxide (CO2) laser sources. In an era when companies come and go, it has achieved two decades of innovation and steady growth.

The company began operations in 1998 in Hull, and counts among its many achievements the development of the world's fastest vector-writing laser and winning the Queen's Award in 2007 and 2011.

The CO2 laser maker relocated to a 7500 m2 facility in 2016 to accommodate the growth in turnover and units shipped. It now employs more than 180 people at its Hull headquarters and its overseas offices in China, South Korea, and Italy.

The company manufactures a wide range of sealed CO2 lasers and power supplies for industrial processing and marking applications. The systems are sold and distributed through its worldwide sales, service organizations, and subdistributors. Its lasers are employed in a broad spectrum of industries, including textile, automotive, and packaging and in a wide variety of applications involving cutting, drilling, welding, and marking of plastics, metal, fabrics, and ceramics.
