Additive manufacturing specialist Sintavia adds two industrial metal printers

Aug. 27, 2018
The two new additive manufacturing machines will significantly increase the company's production capacity.

Sintavia (Davie, FL) has added two more additive manufacturing machines to its industrial metal printers lineup—a TRUMPF TruPrint 3000 and an EOS M400-4 large-scale printer with four lasers designed for faster production.

Adding the two machines will significantly increase the company's production capacity and therefore reduce lead times for its customers, says Doug Hedges, Sintavia’s president.

With the two additions, the company now has a total of nine machines, including EOS M400-4, M400-1, and M290 laser printers; a TRUMPF TruPrint 3000 laser printer; two SLM Solutions 280HL twin laser printers and a 280HL single laser printer; a Concept Laser M2 laser printer; and an Arcam Q20+ electron beam printer. The company expects to add a 10th printer, another EOS M400-4 laser printer, later in 2018, and more than double its capacity to 20 machines after it moves into its new facility in spring 2019.
