Construction of the new headquarters for SLM Solutions Group (SLM Solutions; Lübeck-Genin, Germany), a metal-based additive manufacturing technology provider, is progressing according to plan so far in 2017. With the roof finished in a few weeks, construction of the interior will start. The new headquarters is expected to be finished at the beginning of 2018, with the company planning to move into the building during the first quarter of 2018.

The new location will provide space for around 500 employees. The company is planning for production capacity of around 500 machines per year at the new premises, on a one-shift operation basis. The building will occupy around 17,000 m2 of the total 70,000 m2 land area, making it possible to construct extension buildings directly at the new site in the future.

The company currently employs over 330 staff members in Germany, the US, Singapore, Russia, India, and China. The products are utilized worldwide by customers from the aerospace, energy, healthcare, and automotive industries, among others.
