February 20--Industrial Laser Solutions will introduce it's latest global franchise, Industrial Laser Solutions- Japan, at a press conference at the Laser Expo in Yokohama on April 25. The inaugural issue of ILS-Japan will include the Annual Economic Review of the industrial laser market by ILS Editor-In-Chief, David Belforte, technology reports on ultrafast-pulse laser processing, and application reports on printing in the packaging and automotive industries.
An important column by Sachiya Inagaki, Yano Research Institute, will look at the current market for fiber lasers in Japan. He reports that demand for CW 100W class fiber lasers, driven by sales into the microprocessing and marking industries, will increase in 2007, but technical reasons will slow the growth of pulsed 100W class unit sales. He will report the increase in domestic suppliers as Miyachi, Shibaura, and Furufawa join SUNX, Kataoka, and Hamamatsu.
ILS-Japan will initially be published quarterly in Japanese and mailed to qualified readers in manufacturing industries in Japan. Suppliers interested in presenting their products to the vibrant and growing Japan market should contact their local ILS media representative.
