Zakrzewski named Bystronic president

January 5--Michael Zakrzewski has been promoted to president of Bystronic Inc., the North American subsidiary of the Bystronic Group. Previously he served as company executive vice president and general manager.

January 5--Bystronic Inc. has announced the promotion of Michael Zakrzewski to president of Bystronic Inc., the North American subsidiary of the Bystronic Group. Effective January 1, 2007, he will be responsible for all of Bystronic's activities in Canada, Mexico, and the United States. Zakrzewski joined Bystronic in 2001 and has served as executive vice president and general manager. A member of Bystronic Group Management, he will continue to head the North American Market Region, reporting directly to Ferdi Toengi, CEO of the Bystronic Group.

Zakrzewski will succeed former President Ulrich Troesch. Instrumental in establishing the Bystronic organization in North America, Troesch has been with the company for 35 years and will continue to serve as a member of Bystronic Group Management as chairman of Bystronic Inc.
