Devens, Mass. – Rofin-Baasel has moved its manufacturing, engineering, sales, and service facility from Boxborough to Devens, Mass. Rofin’s new space also houses applications labs where process feasibility studies are conducted of laser marking and jewelry welding applications.

Devens, Mass. – Rofin-Baasel has moved its manufacturing, engineering, sales, and service facility from Boxborough to Devens, Mass. Rofin’s new space is comprised of two floors, and houses the executive, sales, and engineering offices, with the manufacturing floor behind. The second floor includes customer service, training and applications labs, where process feasibility studies are conducted of laser marking and jewelry welding applications.

Rofin-Baasel Inc. is the North American Laser Marking Division of Rofin-Sinar Technologies Inc. of Germany, a leader in marking, welding, and cutting lasers. The company manufactures standard systems and fully-engineered turnkey laser markers designed, engineered, and produced incorporating Rofin’s vast line of laser markers.

The Devens community is an incredibly vibrant and diverse culture, attuned to the sensitivity of the surrounding ecology and the promotion of the neighboring industries. The history of the region features manufacturing prominence in paper, fabricated metal, machinery, furniture-making, clothing and plastic products. Its workers are highly skilled in precision tooling, mold making, fiber optics, and other emerging technologies, according to the company.
