Coalville, Leicestershire, U.K. – Winbro Group Technologies has announced the appointment of Robb Hudson as vice president, North America. He will play a key part in the launch of Winbro’s new technology and development center to be based in the Charlotte, N.C., area.

Coalville, Leicestershire, U.K. – Winbro Group Technologies has announced the appointment of Robb Hudson as vice president, North America. He will play a key part in the launch of Winbro’s new technology and development center to be based in the Charlotte, N.C., area.

Hudson (shown at left) brings many years of experience from his previous positions at Huffman Corp., Lasag AG, and most recently DMG America’s Sauer Lasertec.

Hudson will lead North American activities for capital equipment; technology development projects; and manufacturing offload for blades, vanes, combusters and other turbine components requiring cooling holes.

Hudson joins with a former colleague from Sauer Lasertec, Richard Baxter, who also recently joined Winbro and is based at the main manufacturing plant in the U.K. Between them, they share more than 30 years of experience in the laser drilling business.

Winbro Group Technologies is among the world leaders in cooling hole technology for aero- and land-based turbine engines. With its headquarters in the U.K., Winbro serves customers in 16 countries across the world, supplying EDM, laser and ECM equipment together with related engineering and aftermarket services.
