Laser processing polymers workshop

Nov. 22, 2010
Abingdon, Oxford, UK – The last Association of Industrial Laser Users' Workshop of 2010 will bring  together the laser and broader polymer communities to provide an up-to-date review of polymer technology and recent developments in laser-polymer applications. "Lasers in 21st Century Manufacturing: Working with Polymers" will take place at The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining Conference Centre, Grantham, on December 9.

Abingdon, Oxford, UK – Polymer-based materials are widely used in many forms, with applications across a broad range of industries, and modern lasers and beam delivery techniques are available to address a wide range of applications including macro to micro-scale surfacing, volume processing and additive manufacturing. The materials offer new and exciting manufacturing opportunities to meet 21st century needs, from flexible electronics to lightweight vehicles.

With the active support of the Materials KTN, the last Association of Industrial Laser Users' Workshop of 2010 brings together the laser and broader polymer communities to provide an up-to-date review of polymer technology and recent developments in laser-polymer applications.

"Lasers in 21st Century Manufacturing: Working with Polymers" will take place at The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining Conference Centre, Grantham, on December 9.

If you are working with polymers or have laser capability and an interest in broadening into any of the many industry sectors that make use of polymers, then this event is for you.
