PRIMA North America receives ISO certification

Chicopee, MA--PRIMA North America has received ISO 9001:2008 certification for the Champlin, MN, and Chicopee, MA, facilities, and all three of PRIMA North America’s businesses--Laserdyne Systems, Convergent Lasers, and Prima Systems.

Terry L. VanderWert, president of PRIMA North America said, “This certification is evidence of the value that all of our employees place on providing quality products and services. PRIMA North America is a global supplier of lasers and laser manufacturing systems used in a broad range of applications including aerospace, automotive, military, medical, and general manufacturing. For more than 30 years, the company has been a leading supplier to industry for both 2D and 3D laser systems and processes.

Laserdyne Systems provides multi-axis laser machining systems for the most demanding drilling, cutting and welding applications. Laserdyne has become the brand of choice by aerospace manufacturers and suppliers with more than 644 total systems, 397 multi-axis systems, and 302 systems dedicated to aerospace manufacturing in use worldwide.

Convergent Lasers designs and manufactures CO2 and Nd:YAG lasers. The company can trace its roots to 1962 with more than 4000 of its lasers and systems in operation around the world.

Prima Systems provides sales and service in North America for the Prima brand of 3D laser cutting and welding systems. Over 3000 of these systems are used in the automotive, metal fabrication, and appliance industries.
