Dresden, Germany – Modern surface modification technologies and material sciences have been instrumental in the development of modern industrial products. The 24th International Conference on Surface Modification Technologies (SMT 24) assembles the international community in surface modification technologies and material sciences from September 6-9 in Dresden.

The focus of this year’s SMT conference will be on thermal coating technologies like thermal spraying and laser processing, as well as PVD, CVD, and characterization. Plenary and invited lectures of internationally renowned experts as well as oral contributions comprise the technical program.

An exhibition and poster presentations run in parallel to the conference program. Exhibitors will present their latest developments and achievements, providing an interface between marketplace and laboratory for the exchange of ideas on equipment, materials, and services.
