Miyachi Unitek Corporation, Monrovia, Calif., has announced the LMF3500-HP, a high-powered addition to its popular LMF family of Ytterbium (Yb) fiber laser markers. The LMF3500-HP provides enhanced performance for deep metal engraving applications, high speed large area marking, and fast, high quality marking of hard coated metals.

The LMF3500-HP offers 35 W of power at the workpiece, with 21 kW peak power, 1.3 mJ pulse energy, and a flat top power profile. Ideal for deep engraving, the LMF3500 can mark up to and beyond 0.02 inches deep on steels, aluminum, copper, brass, graphite, and tool steels. It is frequently used to replace lamp-pumped Yttrium aluminum garnet (YAG) 50-100 W systems, which can experience significant repair downtime, chiller expenses, and shortage of parts.

The new high performance LMF3500-HP model joins the existing LMF1000 and LMF2000 models, which can make high contrast marks on metals and plastics. The LMF series offers high beam quality and high peak power, which maximizes speed and depth. Featuring a compact, air-cooled, robust design, the LMF series offers PC, touchscreen, stand alone or pendant operation, rotary and XYZ motion options.
