Monrovia, Calif. – Miyachi Unitek Corp., a manufacturer of welding equipment and systems, has installed an LF1000A fiber laser welder in its Midwest applications lab.
The welder, used for both high speed and penetration welding of steel and aluminums, features 1kW of laser power with high process stability and reliability. Compared with Miyachi Unitek’s Nd:YAG laser welder designs, the LF1000A offers faster processing, making it a strong choice for welding automotive components, battery tabs and solar applications.
The new model is available in Miyachi Unitek’s applications lab in Wixom, Mich., for customers to run sample evaluations.
"The LF1000A fiber laser welder will be a great addition for application development in Wixom," said John Bohr, Chair of the Detroit section of the American Welding Society. "The laser characteristics are specifically tuned for laser welding, which provides the user with ultimate weld control and enables excellent weld performance."
