Atlanta, GA – A new high-performance laser stereolithography material for rapid prototyping, Accura Bluestone, is now available from Quickparts (www.quickparts.com), one of North America's largest providers of custom designed parts.

Bluestone is an accurate, strong, high-temperature material that can be used across many industries for nearly any digital manufacturing project, including functional prototypes, jigs and fixtures, and low-volume production runs that utilize the Stereolithography (SLA) process.

“It has been and continues to be our commitment to offer the latest materials, innovation, and technology available to the product development community,” said Patrick Hunter, vice president of sales and marketing for Quickparts. “The addition of Bluestone to our already extensive line of materials allows us to continue our mission of making it easy for our customers to get custom designed parts that meet their needs.”

Accura Bluestone material is widely used for wind-tunnel testing for the aerospace and motorsports industries and has proven to be successful for electric/electrical components, microwave applications, pump and valve parts, and marine and automotive manufacturers.

In addition to its outstanding mechanical properties, the material also has a high strength-to-weight ratio, high temperature deflection, and is durable enough to handle some flexing.

Quickparts provides custom manufacturing services for engineers and designers who want to create plastic and metal parts from rapid prototyping to production, utilizing their 3D CAD files. Using patented technology, the company is able to provide product designers with an ‘instant online quote’ for the manufacturing of their custom parts from prototype to production.
