Diamond cutting laser facility created in Novosibirsk

February 22--The first national facility for cutting diamond materials with laser was created in Novosibirsk. It can be used to cut blanks to be turned later into jewelry items.

February 22--The first national facility for cutting diamond materials with laser was created in Novosibirsk. It can be used to cut blanks to be turned later into jewelry items. Reportedly, with the new facility, one can do without mechanical cutting of diamond crystals using steel saws. Upon testing completion the first national 'laser cutter' will work at one of Yakutia's jewelry factories.
