April 25--The Direct Writing Association (DWA) was formed with the aim of providing a platform for the dissemination and communication of ideas, innovations, and issues relating to the DW technologies. The association benefits companies involved with DW techniques such as laser processing, digital imaging, and inkjet technologies that are becoming more present in electronics, pharmaceuticals, security printing, ceramics, consumer goods, and aerospace applications. The DWA is hosted by Ceram, the center for materials and technology based in the UK, and facilitates the development and deployment of cost-effective direct writing technologies in the UK.
