April 17--Prima North America will hold an open house on May 23 and 24 at its Chicopee, MA, Technology Center. Fabricating professionals will see the North American debut of Syncrono, the company's new laser cutting system.

The 2D laser cutting system features a patented laser head, designed with two additional small, linear-driven parallel kinematic axes on the moving gantry, effectively creating a "machine within a machine." According to the company, this allows the cutting head to cut at an acceleration of up to 6G, enabling Syncrono to cut more than 1000 holes per minute.

Visitors will have the opportunity to view a variety of demonstrations, including the Prima 2D/3D laser systems (Platino, Domino, Rapido), the automatic load/unload system with 10-shelf tower, 2D and 3D programming software demonstrations, and high-speed tube cutting on a CNC rotary axis. The open house activities span the entire day and provide opportunity for fabricating professionals to directly interact with Prima technical experts to discuss their specific production needs.

Attendees will be treated to complimentary lunch and refreshments. Open house hours are 8:30 a.m until 3:30 p.m. on both days. Entertainment and dinner activities are also planned.
