June 2--GSI Group announced that it has received two orders for its memory repair systems totaling more than $3.5 million. The orders are both expected to be shipped in the third quarter of this year. GSI did not name the customers. Nino Federico, vice president and general manager of the Laser Systems Group, said in a statement that the company believes the long-term memory repair market "remains strong as consumer and PC applications require increasing amounts of DRAM and flash memory."
