Preco opens new contract manufacturing facility

January 4--Preco announces the opening of Preco-Miwa Laser Industries Ltd., a contract manufacturing facility located in Tianjin, China.

January 4--Preco Inc. has announced the opening of Preco-Miwa Laser Industries Ltd., a contract manufacturing facility located in Tianjin, China.

"The establishmenet of contract manufacturing services in China is a natural extension of our U.S. operations, as our domestic and international clients expand their own manufacturing presence in China," says Bob Diehl, president and CEO, Preco Inc. "In addition, as the requirements for quality and precision in new products increase in China, there is a great demand for laser processing services for converting, welding, and heat-treating."

Currently, Preco is globally represented in 32 countries, with service-support offices in Sweden and the United Kingdom, and laser contract manufacturing facilities in Somerset, Wisconsin; Lenexa, Kansas; and Troy, Ohio. Tianjin is one of many locations in China that Preco intends to expand laser contract manufacturing and support services.
