Custom PCB rework system uses beam delivery

March 10--Best Inc.'s CO2 Laser PCB rework system has capabilities for precision marking, drilling, scoring, and organic material cleaning of PCB materials. It also defines new pads and traces to etch off solder-mask patterns to a few mils and can cut polylimide into various shapes for customized wave-solder masking applications.

March 10--Best Inc.'s CO2 Laser PCB rework system has capabilities for precision marking, drilling, scoring, and organic material cleaning of PCB materials. It also defines new pads and traces to etch off solder-mask patterns to a few mils and can cut polylimide into various shapes for customized wave-solder masking applications.

The laser system's source is a 9.3-micron , CO2 laser, galvanometer-based beam delivery system. It enables feature sizes down to 150-micron and processes plastics, glass, wood, thin films, and other organic materials using AutoCAD and other file types as templates.
