March 10--Coherent has decided to merge the OPTexPro product line with TuiLaser's experience in small excimer laser technology. Consequently the OPTexPro will be discontinued.

Coherent Lambda Physik will no longer accept bookings for the OPTexPro after June 30, 2006. The following products are obsolete: OPTexPro (ArF, KrF, XeF), OPTexPro (F2), OPTexPro (XeCl), and OPTexPro (T-ROM).

In July 2006, Coherent introduces the fully revised and RoHS compliant table-top excimer laser models ExciStar XS and ExciStar S Pro as successors for the OPTexPro.

Coherent Lambda Physik commits to maintaining sufficient materials and expertise needed to provide on-going service for seven years (through June 30, 2013). This statement also covers providing parts availability from vendors and subcontractors.

Upgrades are not available.

All existing service contracts will be honored through their expiration date.
