Sliver of light VIII: Laser system integrator expands

Feb. 12, 2009
Innovative Laser Technology reports growth even in a down economy

Innovative Laser Technology (ILT; Fridley, MN) designs and integrates customer-specified laser systems that improve yields through Advanced Feedback Processing Control. The technology team has a total of more than 100 years combined experience in laser systems integration, with each member having previous experience with world leaders in laser system manufacturing.

As a specialist integrator the company is growing, even in a down economy. They exceeded sales estimates last year by a wide margin and their 2009 sales projections, with high probabilities, leads them to expect do so again this year. Because of this they plan to hire more people.

ILT has been in their current facility for about 5 years. They recently exercised a clause in the current lease to vacate early to facilitate a move to a new building to accommodate current growth and future expansion plans. They are now moving into the brand new leased facility shown. This move will expand their floor space from 12,500 sq/ft to 27,900 sq/ft. The company is planning a Grand Opening sometime in May or June once they are settled in.
