Elgin, IL -- Bystronic Inc., a supplier of laser metal cutting systems, celebrated the grand opening of its new multimillion-dollar North American headquarters on May 3-4. The 48,300 square foot facility includes a 10,000 sq. ft office, a 14,000 sq. ft showroom, and a 24,300 sq. ft spare parts and logistics area.

Approximately 550 people attended the multiday event, which began with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 2 and ended with a friends-and-family day on May 5.

The company says the location of its HQ leverages logistic resources of nearby Chicago to better serve customers in North America. Besides a customer service hub, the operation will be home to marketing, sales, and training operations, equipped to provide live laser cutting product demonstrations, classrooms for hands-on training, and courses for programmers, machine operators, and maintenance personnel.
