The seventh annual Symposium for Advanced Laser Applications (SALA) in Hartford, originally scheduled for June 7, is being postponed to enhance and broaden the scope of the event.

East Hartford, CT -- The Symposium for Advanced Laser Applications (SALA) organized by the Connecticut Center for Advanced Technology Inc. (CCAT), originally scheduled for June 7, 2012, is being postponed to enhance and broaden the scope of the event.

This laser applications conference and exhibition is being revamped to improve coverage of the wide range of applied laser technologies, such as laser additive manufacturing, which is used by manufacturers worldwide.

Now in its seventh year, the SALA symposium showcases end-user and manufacturing applications for industrial lasers, presenting technical presentations on subjects such as: laser drilling of turbine components, laser welding, and laser surface treatment by leading industrial laser and system manufacturers. SALA 2012 will include exhibits by laser vendors, optics suppliers, support equipment, laser systems, and small/medium manufacturers.

An announcement about the new date and location for the symposium is expected by May. For information contact: [email protected].
