Chinese firm Eastern Laser's ETC-1390 system for laser cutting wood incorporates a domestic-made 70 W CO2 laser with two laser heads.

Eastern Laser, Dongguan, China, has released a new laser cutting machine for wood cutting.

The ETC-1390 incorporates a domestic-made 70 W CO2 laser with two laser heads and a CO2 generator, a stepper motor and driver from the US, water cooling system, and straight-line guiding track from Japan. Engraving area is 1300 x 900 mm, with engraving speed up to 1500 mm/s. The machine can save up to 128 files, meaning mass production can be completed without connection to a computer.

The company also points out the ETC-1390 is applicable for cutting and engraving other nonmetal materials, such as cloth, leather, wood, acrylic, bamboo, rubber, crystal, ceramic tile, jade.
