Miyachi Unitek, Monrovia, CA, a manufacturer of equipment and systems for laser welding, laser marking, and laser cutting, is now offering the LMC1 fully integrated laser market motion package to enable any combination of linear or rotary motion control in up to 4 axes.

The LMC1 is ideal for cylinder banding and marking text and graphics on cylinders. Functions including serialization, step-and-repeat, or laser marking around a cylinder can be easily programmed using the automation build function. Standard-stage sizes for single linear or combined xyz axes range from 6 to 18 inches, with custom sizes also available.

The LMC1 is available in two rotary options: a direct drive best suited for banding applications, and a precision rotary stage for high-resolution laser marking. The motion package includes various standard homing options, as well as options for programming in absolute or relative units, setting limit points, axis jogging, and axis status indication.
