Stuttgart, Germany - LASYS, the international trade fair for laser material processing, has moved its 2014 show dates to coincide with, and continue close synergy with, a host of automotive events that are a key end market for industrial laser technologies. (Twenty percent of visitors to LASYS 2012 were from the automotive sector.)

The new show dates are now three weeks later than originally planned: June 24-26, 2014 at the Messe Stuttgart (Hall 4), again co-located with the Stuttgart Laser Technology Congress presented by the Universität of Stuttgart. The reason for the change, according to LASYS, is the postponement of several key regional auto shows promoted by UKIP Media & Events: Engineexpo, Vehicle dynamics Expo, Global Automotive Components and Suppliers, Automotive Testing Expo, and Automotive Interiors Expo.

This year, aligning LASYS with these auto events was "rated very positively both by exhibitors and visitors," according to Meike Mayer, project manager for LASYS. "The visitor is able to plan his trade fair visit purposefully and, at the same time, obtain information about various topics relevant to him at the one trade fair location. The exhibitors can thus expect even more visitors from their key industries."
