Telesis Technologies, Circleville, OH, has debuted a pair of new laser marking systems, one with a Q-switched Nd:YVO4 diode-pumped laser and the other for Q-switched Ytterbium fiber lasers.

The EV-40 laser marker features a Q-switched Nd:YVO4 diode-pumped, air-cooled laser design with high-speed digital galvo scanner, for high-speed deep marking of metals or composite materials on flat and curved surfaces. Features include a wide Q-switching range and high pulse energies (>2 mJ at 10 KHz) and high average powers. Proprietary software ("Merlin") and optimized electronics make this attractive for high-speed on-the-fly marking applications on materials unsuitable for CO2 laser markers. The small footprint allows for easy integration into manual off-line and automated on-line configurations, making it ideal for a wide range of industrial marking applications. Optional are Dual Shutter Sensor safety feature configurations as required by many automotive and medical device applications.

The Telesis FQ30 is designed for marking applications with power levels from 10-30 W, delivering a high-power laser beam directly to the marking head via a flexible metal sheathed fiber optic cable. The system follows on the company's F-series laser marking systems (FQ10-FQ20) with a higher power alternative for industrial applications. Optional are Dual Shutter Sensor safety feature configurations as required by many automotive and medical device applications.
