Canadian fab shop gets government funding

Metal fabrication business Coop Techno Laser has received funding from the Government of Canada to acquire a new laser-cutting system.

Sorel-Tracy, Quebec - Metal fabrication business Coop Techno Laser has received funding from the Government of Canada to acquire a new laser-cutting system. The $350,000 in repayable funding, granted under the Canada Economic Development’s Quebec Economic Development Program, is part of plans to modernize the firm's equipment.

“By lending financial support to Coop Techno Laser’s project, the Government of Canada is demonstrating its firm commitment to economic growth built in particular on vigorous productivity,” stated Minister Denis Lebel.

Coop Techno Laser offers high-precision laser cutting, folding and assembly services for various types of materials, including metals, composites and plastics, to customers in transportation, hydroelectricity and environmental industries.
