New Resonetics CEO Tom Burns brings a deep background in sales and marketing in the life sciences field.

Nashua, NH -- Resonetics, a supplier of polymer micromachining services and laser-micromachined products, has appointed Tom Burns as CEO.

Burns' background is deep in life sciences and sales/marketing experience. He was most recently VP of business development at Tegra Medical, leading strategy and customer-facing operations for five acquired companies. Prior to that, he was VP of sales and marketing for medical/aerospace contract manufacturer Web Industries. He also has served in various sales and marketing roles for Accelent, Genzyme, Edwards Lifesciences, and Johnson & Johnson.

"As medical devices and diagnostics continue to shrink and utilize novel materials, Resonetics’ experience with polymer laser micromachining and automation offers OEMs a very flexible and cost-effective applications development and manufacturing solution to meet their most demanding design requirements" stated Burns. "I look forward to assisting in expanding the innovative capabilities, technology platform and know-how that is in place.”

"We're pleased to have Tom lead the Resonetics team as we continue to hone our focus on the life sciences industry," added John Simons, Resonetics chairman and partner at its owner Corporate Fuel Partners. "His experience developing winning business solutions combined with his strong leadership skills and industry knowledge will be important as we continue to execute on our vision."

Last summer the company moved to its current, larger facility in Nashua, in response to expansion in its medical division.
