Heywood, UK -- Camfil Farr Air Pollution Control (APC), a maker of dust and fume collection equipment used in laser cutting systems, says it will build a new 3700 m2 facility in Heywood, UK to serve local and European region customers.
The new site roughly 10km north of Manchester, a £2.4M investment according to local media, will employ more than 100 workers in engineering, metal fabrication, welding and assembly when it opens in January 2013.
"Camfil Farr APC has grown into a global dust collection company over the past five years, with our most dramatic growth in the UK and European industrial markets," stated company president Lee Morgan. "This strategically located facility will allow us to be more responsive to customer needs in Europe and to expand our manufacturing capacity to meet both short- and long-term goals."
