• Jenoptik hires Raydiance exec to lead US lasers unit

Stephen Hypsh will head up Jenoptik's lasers business unit in North America, drawing on a background that includes Raydiance and Trumpf.
    Aug. 21, 2012

Jena, Germany -- Jenoptik's Lasers & Material Processing has appointed Stephen Hypsh as VP of its lasers business unit in North America. He previously was director of business development at femtosecond laser manufacturer Raydiance. Before that he spent several years as regional sales manager for North America for Trumpf.

Weeks ago Jenoptik raised its 2012 outlook for sales to 5%-10%, after previously hiking its expectations, due in part to better sales in its laser processing business unit. The company also is expanding into other international markets, including South America with a newly formed Industrial Metrology division in Brazil, and in May Jenoptik opened a new office in Singapore.
