Swiss company expands capabilities with new 7 axiz laser processing system.

Champlin, Minnesota - Prima Power Laserdyne, the world leader in precision multi-axis laser machining systems,announces that Jean Gallay SA, Geneva, Switzerland, has ordered a Laserdyne 795XL BeamDirector® system equipped with a fiber laser.

"By choosing the LASERDYNE 795XL system with the fiber laser, Jean Gallay is making a breakthrough in laser processing," reported Madam Laurence de la Serna, CEO. "The investment was the most important capital investment in 2011 for Jean Gallay. It demonstrates the will of our company to grow, especially in the aerospace market, which is forecasted to have strong growth in Europe for several years, despite the recent downturn in commerce in the European Countries."

Widely known throughout Europe for its precision work in the aerospace and power generation industries, Jean Gallay products are used in industrial gas turbines, aircraft engines, helicopter turbines, and nuclear reactors. The company will use the Laserdyne unit equipped with a 2kW fiber laser for 2D and 3D processing of heat resistant alloys (nickel and cobalt), stainless steel alloys, titanium and titanium alloys. Typical parts include challenging designs of combustion chambers, diffusers, burners for gas turbines and many others.

By April 2012 Lasedyne will have installed over 650 total systems, 499 multi-axis systems, and 309 systems dedicated to aerospace / defense manufacturing worldwide.
