Spectra-Physics unveils its HighQ-2 ultracompact laser for fixed wavelength multiphoton imaging and nanostructuring at SPIE Photonics West 2014.
    Feb. 4, 2014
Santa Clara, CA - Spectra-Physics, a Newport company, introduces HighQ-2, an ultracompact, air-cooled, fixed wavelength industrial femtosecond (fs) laser. The ultrafast laser delivers short pulses, high peak power (>190 kW) and a highly focusable beam profile, making it useful for fixed wavelength multiphoton imaging, micro- and nano-structuring, micro- and nano-surgery, and micro-dissection applications. Available in infrared (IR) and green wavelengths, HighQ-2 has a tiny footprint of <9 x 8 x 4 inches (222 x 204 x 101 mm) and is a reliable OEM laser for 24/7 operation. The laser has the combination of true turnkey operation and fast, cold-start turn-on, making it quick and easy to install and operate. HighQ-2 is equipped with long-life diodes, a sealed optical cavity design, and is manufactured in a controlled, clean room environment. Spectra-Physics’ HighQ-2 laser will be shown at SPIE Photonics West 2014 at booth 1301.
