• Cutting Technologies nabs top business award

    The Sheffield City Region business awards, held in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, on July 3, awarded Cutting Technologies with the Top SME/Business award.

    Barnsley, South Yorkshire, England - The Sheffield City Region business awards, held at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, on July 3, awarded Cutting Technologies with the Top SME/Business award. The award was presented to the company by John Collier, chief executive at Pera Consulting (Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire).

    The event was hosted by Clare Frisby, "BBC Look North" news presenter, and Nick Hewer, star of the BBC1 show "The Apprentice."

    Cutting Technologies, which employs 32 people, performs laser cutting and engraving on products for more than 500 clients worldwide. Their portfolio includes projects for international fashion designers, the University of Manchester, and the Paralympics opening and closing ceremonies.

    The company will be showcasing their laser cutting and engraving skills at Enlightened, a special exhibition exploring the use of lasers in design in collaboration with design agency DMSQD at the Barnsley Civic on July 18, 2014.
