Napajedla, Czech Republic - Over 150 guests attended the festive opening of AWL-Techniek CZ Inc.'s new premises on September 18, 2014, in an ultramodern building that meets today's ergonomic and occupational health and safety standards. The building bears a resemblance to the company's headquarters in Harderwijk, the Netherlands.
AWL CEO Piet Mosterd said, "This new building means that AWL CZ is ready for the future, and we are another step further in our quest to put our customers at the forefront of automated welding. Furthermore, AWL CZ will be able to make a substantial contribution to the growth of the organization. The future looks extremely positive, and we are fully confident that the new premises will play a role in our success," Mosterd concluded.
Totaling more than 21,500 sq. ft., the fully equipped offices and workshop accommodate everything from cell and fixture assembly to 3D measurement, PLC and robot software integration to electrical machine controllers and welding cell solutions. In addition, AWL CZ has a mobile laboratory for testing welding quality. The building applies the LEAN philosophy and 5S principle. As a result, the layout is highly efficient, which both minimizes waste and ensures extremely well-regulated operations.The new premises has been up and running and the workshop is being fully utilized. Consequently, the plans are to build a second workshop.
