Laser Mechanisms names Bunis as VP of business development

Laser Mechanisms has named Jenifer Bunis as VP of business development, a role in which she is responsible for identifying and developing new global business opportunities that will drive future growth for the company.

Novi, MI - Laser beam delivery components/articulated arm systems developer and manufacturer Laser Mechanisms has named Jenifer Bunis as VP of business development, a role in which she is responsible for identifying and developing new global business opportunities that will drive future growth for the company.

Bunis, who has 30 years of experience in the laser industry, received her BS degree in optical engineering from the University of Rochester (New York) before beginning her career as a research associate at MIT Lincoln Laboratory (Boston, MA), where she worked for two years. Then, she worked as an applications engineer for excimer lasers maker Questek for four years, followed by a sales engineer position with CO2 laser maker Synrad (Mukilteo, WA). She remained with Synrad for almost 20 years, growing both the company and her responsibilities along the way, rising to executive VP at the time of her departure in October 2012. She joined Laser Mechanisms in November 2014 following a two-year sabbatical.
