Grand Image expands services with laser-etched graphics offering
Hudson, MA - In August 2013, grand-format printing company Grand Image acquired a CAMFive CFL-1200 laser cutter and engraver to add laser cutting and engraving to its services offering. The 100W machine uses a super-fine German lens that is known for producing unprecedented precision in cutting and engraving, and has a 47.25 × 23.62 in. work area for large projects on any level of intricacy.
Michael Roser, product developer at Grand Image, explains that the company can etch acrylics to produce portraits with intricate detail and add LED lighting to create eye-catching signage for clients. The company's marking capabilities add a 3D element to acrylic signage as well, he adds.
In addition to laser etching and marking, the CAMFive also offers smooth edges on acrylic dimensional characters.
The company's products and services include large-format roll-to-roll graphics for billboards, trade show displays, transit graphics, banners, posters, and fabric graphics. The company also works with resellers of large-format digital products.
