Chippewa Falls, WI - Laser cutting and precision metal fabricator Advanced Laser Machining (ALM) is expanding its facility—a project expected to create 27 new jobs and retain about 100 existing positions.
The $3.5 million expansion calls for a 32,800-sq-ft. building expansion and adding several pieces of manufacturing equipment. The project will allow ALM to meet growing demand for its services, and the expansion will allow the company to consolidate all operations and warehousing in a single location. As the company continues to add processes and skill sets, the company needs more room to manufacture its customers' products.
Founded in 1996, ALM has grown from three employees in 6000 sq. ft. of space in a business incubator to more than 100 employees operating out of more than 68,000 sq. ft. once the project is complete.
ALM specializes in laser cutting, contract manufacturing, and metal fabrication, including punching, laser cutting, forming, welding, and assembly. The company serves customers nationwide in the construction, aviation, industrial equipment, defense, and communications industries.
