3D Systems Corporation, a provider of 3D modeling, rapid prototyping and manufacturing solutions, announced today that it has launched a material evaluation Web site equipped with online pricing capability that may be used to order non-commercial Stereolithography (SLA) and Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) parts.
Partnering with a strong network of expert Preferred Part Service Providers (PSPs), 3D Systems is leveraging its high-traffic Web site to offer a custom part-building marketplace for Rapid Prototyping and Direct Manufacturing applications.
The new Web site, located at http://quote.3dsystems.com, provides designers and engineers instant access to evaluate 3D Systems' materials and the ability to order parts built from new non-commercial Accura and DuraForm Materials. Ordered parts are manufactured on the company's Pro Systems – the Viper Pro SLA and Sinterstation Pro SLS Systems – located in the Rapid Manufacturing Center at 3D Systems' global headquarters. The web site also connects customers to 3D Systems' network of authorized PSPs for commercially available Accura and DuraForm Materials.
"As a leader and innovator, we have a responsibility to enable our community of designers and engineers broader access to expert Pro-Part-builders and new experimental materials to experience the full benefits of Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing," said Abe Reichental, 3D Systems' president and CEO.
