Fonon Technology International (FTI) has recently relocated to a 319,800 sq. ft. facility in Lake Mary, FL. Sixty-five percent of the facility is dedicated solely to manufacturing and will help contribute to the company's move toward lean manufacturing principles.

The building is more than 5 times the size of the previous facility and will become the manufacturing hub for all FTI subsidiaries and divisions, to include: Laser Photonics, Fonon DSS, and Advanced Solar Photonics.

The new facility will accommodate development of a new product range of Generation 8 FPD and solar systems, as well as large-format, high-power fiber laser cutting systems. FTI will be able to hold a stock inventory of standardized laser systems, dramatically decreasing lead times.

The facility has also allowed FTI to possess one of the largest laser application labs in the US with more than 15,000 sq. ft. dedicated solely to processing samples and performing R&D.
