CO2 laser cutting system
Koike Aronson /Ransome will now manufacture its Lasertex Series of advanced CO2 laser cutting systems in the U.S. The move allows Koike to cut both delivery times and production costs.
Lasertex uses high-speed, common-line cutting, which reduces cycle time by 20%-30% and remnant scrap costs by 1%-5%. The key to Lasertex's high productivity is Koike's exclusive SIGMABOX design. SIGMABOX seals the laser beam's path, keeping airborne particulates away from laser mirror surfaces. The result is longer periods of high beam quality and reduced maintenance. SIGMABOX also allows unlimited width and length of cut. It can operate unmanned on multiple plates for night and weekend runs that slash labor and energy costs. Lasertex systems are available in 2 kW, 4 kW and 6 kW versions to cut mild steel from 1/8" to 1" and stainless from 1/16" to 5/8" (up to 1" with the optional Nitrogen system).
