East Hartford, Conn. - The planning committee for SALA 2011 reminds those planning on attending this year’s event, to be held at the Hartford Hilton Hotel April 13 to 14, that the EARLY-BIRD Special Rates ends soon.

February 28th is the last day to register at the Early-Bird rate of $395. As of March 1, the registration fee increases to $450. March 13th is the last day to reserve hotel accommodations for the Hartford Hilton at the special SALA reduced rate of $139 per night. To register, click on http://www.etouches.com/sala2011

Presentations at SALA 2011 will cover a wide range of applied laser technologies being used by manufacturers worldwide. Topics include fiber laser drilling, laser hole shaping, laser welding, hybrid welding, laser surface modifications, coating removal, and optical systems for laser processing, and process control. Speakers are nominated by a supplier committee and represent technology at the forefront of the industrial laser systems industry.

In addition to the technical presentations, SALA 2011 is expected to have 40 tabletop displays by laser vendors, optics suppliers, support equipment, laser systems, and small & medium manufacturers. At the conclusion of the conference, all attendees will be invited to tour CCAT's world-class Laser Applications Laboratory located at CCAT's Advanced Manufacturing Center.
