Atlanta, Ga. – ASYS Group Americas Inc. recently received two Circuit Assembly NPI Awards: one in the Labeling Equipment category for the new INSIGNUM line of laser markers and another in the Software Production category for the new SIMPLEX intuitive machine HMI.

The INSIGNUM 2000 laser marking system features innovations such as the new 3-axis galvo head that increases the marking area to 350 x 350 mm (13.7 x 13.7 inch). The system accomplishes this without mechanically driven gantries, thus eliminating any moving parts related to the marking of the panel and resulting in a faster cycle time

The new SIMPLEX© user interface from ASYS provides a radical enhancement to how SMT equipment is used. By applying the latest technology available, the SIMPLEX software and touch screen interface virtually eliminate language barriers, reduce training time, cut programming time by well over 50%, and in the end provide a quantum leap in the overall interface efficiency for screen and stencil printers and also increases uptime as virtually all maintenance is eliminated.

ASYS Group, Suwannee, Ga., is a provider of high quality manufacturing equipment for the electronics and photovoltaics industries. Its product range includes SMD board handling, marking systems (laser/label/inkjet), depaneling systems (in/offline), final assembly, and EKRA screen printers for the SMT, semi-pack, solar, and hybrid markets.
