Short course on laser and laser material processing at LASYS 2012 expanded
Stuttgart, Germany – The short course "Basics on Laser and Laser Material Processing" will be offered on the first two trade fair days of LASYS, which is taking place here from June 12 to 14, 2012.
On June 12, the focus will be on laser system technology and laser beam sources and on June 13, methods for laser material processing. The German Scientific Laser Society (WLT) is responsible for organizing this training program and ensuring the high competence of the keynote speakers. Access www.lasys-messe.de for details.
There will be keynote speakers from Germany's most well-known laser centers and institutes, as well as widely known laser technology manufacturers. On the day dedicated to laser system technology and laser beam sources, the basic principles of laser will be addressed; the system technology for laser material processing presented; ultra-brilliant beam sources and pulse laser systems used; beam shaping and beam control explained; and the important topic of laser safety will also be covered.
With regard to laser material processing, laser welding, cutting, and coating of larger components will be the focus, as well as precision laser material processing in the production of electronics and precision engineering.
The short course appeals to all industries, including: mechanical engineering, the automotive sector, metalworking industry, plant and apparatus construction, electrical and electronics industry, prototype construction, and medical technology.
Approximately 200 exhibitors are expected at LASYS 2012. Over three days, they will showcase their innovations and further developments in laser technology. The focus will mainly be on laser applications and product solutions, laser production systems for micro and macro material processing, as well as for precision engineering. LASYS is aimed specifically at users and providers of laser material processing.
For the first time at LASYS 2012, new, innovative companies are able to avail themselves of a grant from the Federal Ministry of the Economy and Technology (BMWi) because LASYS has been accepted as an international trade fair in the BMWi incentive programme. For participation in the trade fair, the BMWi assumes a large proportion of the costs for the stand rental and stand construction to give even small companies the opportunity to participate in the trade fair.
