Bridgewater, N.J. – Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics has upgraded its capabilities for identifying hose assemblies with a state-of-the art laser engraving system.

The system allows Saint-Gobain to engrave the metal crimp collar or tag of all hose assemblies, piping and components, providing users with easy identification and traceability. They can engrave crimp collars on hose assemblies ranging from 0.25 in. to 4 in. in size, in varying fonts and sizes. The system leaves a clear, easy-to-read mark that can be customized upon request.

Laser marking provides end users with a variety of valuable information, including: manufacturer's name/brand, hose size, maximum working pressure, serial number, date of manufacture, telephone number/website, logo and compliance information
