Nashua, N.H. – An unexpected, but welcome, surge in fourth quarter sales drove industrial laser revenue growth in 2010 up to 30%. In January, Industrial Laser Solutions magazine had estimated, based on incomplete industry reports, that the increase for 2010 could be 21%.
The 9% increase over that figure – which will be reported in the June 30th Webcast on the Global Market for Industrial Laser – Midyear Report – was due in great part to strong sales into the semiconductor and microprocessing markets, the latter driven by record sales of personal communications devices such as Smart phones and growth in flat panel displays.
The Webcast, presented by ILS Editor-in- Chief David Belforte, will present revised revenue numbers for 2010 and the consequential revision of 2011 projections. Details of laser and system revenues and the applications served will support these numbers.
This pay-for-view webcast will provide registrants with an advance look at the revised ILS market report that will be made public later in the summer. Registration is required to view the webcast or to access the archived version.
