IMRA America and Jenoptik Laser sign fiber laser agreement

Ann Arbor, Mich. – IMRA America Inc. and Jenoptik Laser GmbH (Jena, Germany) a subsidiary of Jenoptik AG, have completed a more expansive, second licensing agreement for the use of IMRA key intellectual property centered on US Patent 5,818,630. This agreement enables Jenoptik to serve the rapidly growing market for high power fiber lasers.

Ann Arbor, Mich. – IMRA America Inc. and Jenoptik Laser GmbH, Jena, Germany, a subsidiary of Jenoptik AG, have completed a more expansive, second licensing agreement for the use of IMRA key intellectual property centered on US Patent 5,818,630. This agreement enables Jenoptik to serve the rapidly growing market for high power fiber lasers. Such lasers are becoming vital tools used in many primary industries, most notably the automotive manufacturing sector.

Mr. Takashi Omitsu, IMRA America president, commenting on the expanded agreement, said, "We are delighted to continue our primary mission of developing new technology for our own products and then licensing them to others so as to further benefit the general public.
